Hello from our family to yours! Dealen Dusters Kennel is a family run business for 13 years! We breed and sell AKC Registered Mini-Dachshunds and Golden Retrievers for family pets. This is something that we do because it brings joy to others. Our puppies have gone to families in South Dakota, North Dakota, Florida, Minnesota, Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Conneticut, New York, and most recently Iowa.
A Bit About Our Family Penney and Dennis are owners of Dealen Dusters Kennel. Our Family consists of Dennis and Penney, and children Denise, Dana, Jess, Josh, Jaycee, Smarsh & Tink the cats, Cash & Champ the cow dogs, and the many puppies and dogs that you see on this website! Dennis runs his cattle ranch and drives cattle, hay, and grain truck. Dennis and Penney's youngest, Jaycee is 10 years old and in the 5rd grade at McIntosh School. Penney's daughter, Jess works at a Vet Clinic in Sioux Falls, SD, and son, Josh lives and works in Chicago. Dennis's daughter, Denise works at APU library in Azusa, CA, and Dana teaches Biology at Sinte Gleska University in Mission, SD, raises dachs, and in her "spare time" designs websites. Our Fur Kids All of our doxie kids are AKC Registered. We have 6 female doxies and 4 male doxies. Cinder, Mocha, and Ryder were here 1st, then soon after this Racer joined the crew. In 2004, Chesney joined the family. In 2005, Shyanne and Gem were born here and have stayed! In 2006, Siouxner, Jazz, Gypsy, Scarlett, and Ace joined the family. Then finally in 2007, Beamer joined us. As they say, "Dachshunds are like potato chips, you can't just have one" (or in our case 10)!! Check out our Testimonials page for a word from our previous customers. To see pictures of our past puppies, visit the Past Litters page.
History of our Dachshunds Penney received her 1st dachshund in September of 1993 as a birthday gift. Dealen Dusters Ceejay (pictured to the right) was a black and tan smooth hair dachshund. He had a great personality and was the perfect example of the dachshund standard. After falling in love with this exceptional breed, Penney decided to get a female dachshund with excellent temperament & conformation the following year to breed to Ceejay. Dealen Dusters Kaylee (pictured to the right) became a member of our family in June of 1994. On May 20th, 1995 we had our first litter of puppies. Kaylee was an amazing mother of two female puppies, in which we decided to keep one; Dealen Dusters Shaydee Acres (pictured to the bottom right). Instead of purchasing another male we used an outside stud for breeding Shaydee. One of Shaydee's puppies is pictured on the past puppies page. Unfortunately in 199?, Ceejay was hit by a car and had to be put to sleep. He is now enjoying eternity in Doggie Heaven. Kaylee was spayed and retired in 199?, but remained in the family, she was a gift to Penney's mom. Due is age related problems, Kaylee had to be put to sleep in 2005, and joined Ceejay in Doggie Heaven. Shaydee was also spayed and remained with us until 2005, when she joined her mom & dad in Doggie Heaven. This website was created in December of 2005 to honor our beloved fur kids of the past and the future. We hope that you enjoy it and allow us to brighten your lives by adding a beloved new member to your family. UPDATE: During the summer and fall of 2006, we unexpectedly lost two precious doxies. July 17, 2006, precious Redoo went to Rainbow Bridge. After an autopsy, the vet found that she had a puncture in her intestine. This fall (Oct 25, 2006) Dale Jr. joined our family doxies at Rainbow Bridge. We are very sad to have lost him as we have had him since he was born. In 2007, Voodoo passed onto the rainbow as well. We miss you dear one.
Our Golden Retrievers Penney's dream was to own her own Golden. In 2001, Penney's dream came true and Indy (left) joined our family. Indy was born in June of 2001. She has been very much a joy to our family! We got Jesse, in March of 2003 from someone who had medical problems and needed a good home for him. Jesse will probably be retired in 2008. Indy is more of the laid back type, on the other hand, Jesse has a firery personality with his hunting skills. Jesse and Indy have had 2 litters so far. We just got Ella (4/15/06) from a family in North Dakota. They had to find a home for her because she was being a little rough with their lambs. She is a sweetheart. She was born in June of 2005. After retiring Indy (spayed in July 2007), in 2007, Penney decided to expand her golden breeding program by keeping Jersey out of Jesse & Ella's litter. Then Cowboy (pictured) joined our family in May. Cowboy is our 1st AKC Golden! In August, purchased Gracie, a 2 year old AKC golden. She has an excellent pedigree! In the future we expect some wonderful litters out of these new additions. Check out our Goldens page for more info on these wonderful dogs.

History of our Shelties We raised AKC registered shelties from 1995-2002. We really enjoyed raising them, but because of time that was required to groom them, we had to discontinue breeding them. We continue to have one of our shelties that we used for breeding, Sir Isaac (right). He is our family "guard dog", he thinks :) ! R.I.P. Isaac passed on to the rainbow in late february, a week before he turned 13 years old! Can't wait to see you again little man!
